Use Meditation To Quiet Your Stressful Mind

There are hundreds of different types of meditation. A lot of people class some of them as martial arts. Martial arts are not about fighting and violence but about control and inner peace. Meditation is about finding “inner peace” and connecting with your “spiritual you”. When you learn to meditate you learn to release the stresses of your day and let go of your negative emotions. This in turn re-aligns your body and spirit and brings you back into harmony and allows you to think constructively instead of destructively. Yoga, Tai chi, kung-fu, all these are forms of meditation using your mind and body to gain “inner peace”.

For thousands of years meditation has been used by all different creeds and nations. Different cultures use different sorts of meditation but there is no right or wrong meditation, there are just preferences.

Learning to meditate will greatly enhance your life. Most people however think it all mumbo jumbo. They go through life moaning about what little chances they had and how they always seemed to have bad luck but they just do not understand that if they had learned to quiet the voices that they listen to inside their heads each day then they would have a better life. Yes, we all have voices inside our head each day, they are called thoughts, and it is these “thoughts” that mould our life.

Sit quietly for about ten minutes and take note of what you think about(you will be surprised how many thoughts you have in those 10 minutes). Now sit quietly for another 10 minutes and stop the thoughts coming through, just quiet your mind and concentrate on nothing but your breathing, take good deep breathes through your nose and breathe out through your mouth. After just 10 minutes you should feel calmer and more at peace with your self.
